Today we went to Penrith as I wanted to buy some new clothes for our trip next week. I bought shoes, new top and a jaunty little cap. Ken did a lot of sitting while I tried on various items.
We had lunch at Nadia's near the beautiful fountain. This area is so glamorous. There is a sweeping Hollywood style staircase leading down from the first floor to the ground floor level. To-day a giant blow-up pink flamingo was floating around on the water in the fountain as the water tinkled around it from the central bowl.
There were umbrellas on the cafe tables clustered around the fountain, all looking very Parisian. We had a welcome break before continuing on to Bunnings at the Home Base in Mulgoa Road. We bought some plants and essential items for the garden, then back home to rest and recover.

We go to Penrith quite often but for the most part avoid the mall. Whenever we go, like you we choose a nice place to eat and follow up with a visit to Bunnings which is just about my favourite shop.
Yes, Bunnings is great. We needed to buy some potted colour to plant in our wheelbarrow. After good service it is now due for retirement and will become a featured container garden. I am looking forward to planting it up tomorrow.
